As we expand the programs of the Project I very much would like to be in touch with you more often. Please go to our website and click on the Mailing List link in order to get on our digital mailing list so that I can send you emails rather than the much more expensive physical snail mail. When signing up for the our email mailing list you will have the option of continuing to receive a hardcopy of our annual year-end newsletter. Below is some information about opportunities to join my ongoing small groups and individual work.
Ongoing Small Groups

Eastern contemplative practices assume that the practitioner loves himself, is relatively free from doubt and guilt, and is basically not neurotic. Taking into account the tendency of the Western mind to aggregate psychological beliefs based on a neurotic sense of self, importing Eastern practices whole cloth has met with only limited success here in the West. In my experience many students harbor unconscious assumptions regarding their ability to significantly deepen their practice or the fruit of their practice. Being in a supportive, small group setting allows the uncovering of these assumptions and the application of the specific practices which will be truly healing for each individual. These are not meditation groups but groups which use meditation, inquiry, and devoton to facilitate deep inner work bringing a sense of connection, connection with Self and with other. All that is asked of participants is a desire to inquire with honesty and with courage. End of life issues will be one of our topics.
Also clients may meet with me on an individual basis, exploring the intersection of spirituality and psychology as mentioned above and/or working with end-of-life issues. Both the small groups and the individual sessions will be for fee at the moderate end of the scale.
I have extensively practiced in the Vipassana, Zen, Tibetan Vajrayana, and Dzogchen Buddhist traditions. My core practice is devotional, drawing from both my Christian roots and my immersion into Hinduism to a depth which is too personal to share in these few words. Having guided many hundreds of people approaching death, I’ve developed the ability, in most cases, to see clearly what blocks the next step toward freedom, insight that enables a person to touch Awakened Mind. I hope we can explore deeply together this inner work, this practical healing, this intersection of the spiritual and the psychological, and in this process awaken gratitude for the preciousness of life.
If you are interested in either group or individual work (in person, Skype or phone), please send your response to dale@livingdying.org and include your phone number, where you live, and what you are interested in.
