The Project is thrilled to welcome Sharon Salzberg to speak with our community!

When we’re overwhelmed or afraid, we contract. We feel trapped in the circumstances we face and we reinforce separateness yet feel increasingly lonely. Expansion, by contrast, means a more open sense of possibility, creativity, lovingkindness, connection, and joy.

Drawing inspiration from her new book, Real Life, we’ll explore changing the dynamics that have us feeling most contracted to abide in the spaciousness that expansion enables.

This is a journey of:
Moving from craving/endless searching to greater peace
Moving from anger and fear to more inclusive compassion
Moving from confusion to vibrancy and connection

This is a genuine possibility, not something merely theoretical or abstract. In contrast to toxic positivity or spiritual bypassing, we are not denying anything, but rather, applying the skills that enable us to integrate all elements of our life experience, painful and beautiful both. Through mindfulness and compassion practices, we cultivate presence, balance, and caring for ourselves and others.

This is journeying to a life of authenticity, wisdom and compassion. Compared to our habitual existence, it can be called real life.

This event will include a talk by Sharon, guided meditation, and Q/A.

A private zoom link will be emailed by Friday, Aug 4th end of day. Registration closes Saturday, Aug 6th @ 8am PT/11am ET. This event will be recorded so if you cannot attend live you will still receive a replay link. The replay will be sent to all registrants to view up until 30 days after.

Proceeds go to sustain the ongoing work of the Living/Dying Project.
