Even if you do not live locally, you can still become a Living/Dying Project Volunteer. We have volunteers all around North America as well as Australia and Europe.
Volunteers must attend the Online Interactive Course, and then during the live zoom session that is part of the course, tell us you would like to be a volunteer. This workshop provides the fundamental understanding and practices needed in order to serve those dealing with end of life issues under the Living/Dying Project model. Although clients are not guaranteed, we do our best to match a volunteer when a client becomes available. The course will nonetheless provide a deep dive into the core work of the Living/Dying project, and anyone who takes it will benefit from its practices and learn how to offer conscious and compassionate support to people with life-threatening illness. In addition, if you are a Nurse or Acupuncturist licensed in California, you will receive 8 Continuing Education Credits.
Volunteers can attend an every other month online support group. This group will support your inner spiritual work as well as supporting you in working with any clients with life-threatening illnesses that you might find in your local community.
Volunteers are an integral part of the Living/Dying Project. We welcome volunteers from all backgrounds regardless of race, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, religion, or disability who engage in this work with an open heart.
